Lots of secret passages to discover: which child never dreamt of being a count or a countess, a knight or a noble lady, a fool or a watchman on a tower? The Counts’ Castle is the only medieval fortress left in Flanders. During this tour geared towards children our experienced Ghent guide lets the kids discover the eventful history of the Counts’ Castle in a playful way, with cool games on their way from the cellar to the top of the master tower. With a little imagination you can hear the noise of the horses, the shouting of the prisoners and the giggling of the noble ladies!

  • Open every day from 10 AM till 6 PM.
  • The entrance fee is not included in this price. Tickets can be bought on arrival or on-line: https://historischehuizen.stad.gent/en/castle-counts
  • The visit must be requested by the Gentse Gidsen at least 10 days in advance.
  • The Castle of the Counts is not accessible for people with reduced mobility except for the bailey.
