Bike ride in green Ghent

Twenty-five kilometres through the ‘gardens of Ghent’

Jump on your bike and follow our guide on a bike tour showing you many well-known and secret green spots in Ghent and around.

More about this tour

The complete biking tour starts at the Ghent City Hall (stadshal). You can use your own bike or rent one here. With the ‘Ghent biking map’ at hand we leave the town centre via the Coupure and the Groene Vallei, and we enjoy the many ‘gardens of Ghent’: the Bourgoyen-Ossemeersen nature reserve, the Assels, the Blaarmeersen, the Citadel Park, the little-known De Smet de Nayer Park, the magnificent garden of the St Pieter’s Abbey, the cosy Muink Park, the Zuid Park…! During the tour our guide will tell you fascinating details and strange anecdotes. If you fancy an even larger tour, no problem: the trip can easily be extended by a visit of the Gentbrugse Meersen.
